Nurses at the begriming of the 1900s.

Frank said:

"It is interesting as it must be one of the very early photos of the nurses at Winwick and as you can see they all have keys hanging from their belts ... I would estimate early 1900's and certainly prior to the first world war of 1914.

My grandmother Kathleen Phillips is the girl bottom left and I believe the family lived at Faiclough Street, Burtonwood around that time".

"My Mum, 87 years old now, is hoping to find out if any of those people on the photo with her are still around!  The photo dates from 1943(ish)

Front row left to right:          Unknown,  Marian Ralphs, Gladys?  Gwen Derbyshire (my Mum),  unknown,  Betty Burrell,  Olwyn Jones
Back row:                            First Charles Wright and 4th C. R. Hoyle

Would it be possible for you to add my email address when the items are posted so that people are able to contact me should they have any news?  Mum is particularly interested to get in touch with Olwyn Jones, who married Colin (surname unknown), as they were very close friends.
